Friends of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, Inc. (Friends of the MBBA) is the charitable arm of MBBA and duly organized as a 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions made to Friends of the MBBA are deductible to the fullest extent of state and Federal laws.
The charitable arm of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association (MBBA), the FMBBA provides financial scholarships to help prospective and current Black/African-American law students from the New York City area.
These scholarships are part of the MBBA’s commitment to the Pipeline and “#MBBAGives” programs to promote greater diversity within the profession and to help future Black leaders of the profession afford a legal education.
We will award up to 12 scholarships of up to $2,500 each to prospective and current law students who meet the eligibility requirements. Applications are due Monday, April 4, 2022.
